Sosense in the Swiss start-up national team 2012

Following two full days of presentations at the Venture Leader program, Sosense convinced the jury of experts of the concept of an online-marketplace to promote and support social entrepreneurship. Sosense has been chosen as one of the 20 winners of the Venture Leader program. About 100 candidates applied for the program. Venture Leader is a program of the Venture lab – The Swiss Federal Commission for Technology and Innovation. In the past, many well-known start-ups greatly benefited from the program at an early stage of their development.

On January 22nd ,The Global Journal, a print and online publication based in Geneva and New York that covers the issues and players shaping global governance announced its inaugural "The Top 100 Best NGOs" lists. 10 out of the 26 social enterprises featured in www.sosense.org made it to this list. On Nov 30th, Forbes published a list of the top 30 social entrepreneurs.
“For the first time in Forbes’ 94-year history, we’ve assembled a list of the world’s leading social entrepreneurs. We’re defining “social entrepreneur” as a person who uses business to solve social issues."
