Riders for Health

Overcoming obstacles of distance and terrain, we manage vehicles on a reliable, predictable and cost effective basis - supporting health-focused partners whose remit is to reach rural communities with healthcare and other vital services.
Every year, 8.8 million children under five years of age die from causes that are largely preventable and diseases that are easily curable. Across Africa, health workers have the expertise to turn this situation around. But without reliable transportation the delivery of essential healthcare services is virtually impossible.
Working in partnership with governments, international NGOs and local groups, we have introduced transport management systems which incorporate training in driving skills, regular preventative maintenance and the establishment of workshops run by highly trained technicians. Through these systems, we operate fleets with zero-breakdowns and keep healthcare 'on the road'.
